The Art of Living
So it’s been a while since my last post and, while I am truly sorry, I've had time to reflect. The past three months have been full of great moments, some challenging and some not, but I’ve been able to push my way through. Immersing myself in a new culture and a new way of life has allowed me to really spend time introspecting on my life.
These past few months of living and traveling abroad, I've learned some of, what I believe could be, life's most valuable lessons. The greatest lesson I learned was about how to take a step back and live in the moment. I’ve always been one that likes to control every aspect of my life, but stepping out on faith and moving across the world really showed me, who’s really in control. I decided to take a break from planning, organizing, over analyzing, and just Be. Be, and live in the moment. Wow! Just being; that was definitely new for me.
This last month I've been focusing on truly living, enjoying each moment, not just capturing the moment for an Instagram photo but truly experiencing it all.
I feel so blessed that God has given me the opportunity to step out on faith and live and experience life. This experience has taught me so much about life and has also broadened my scope of awareness and knowledge of the world around me. I have so much to post about my time in Europe, these last few days, but first I just want to encourage you to step out on faith and try something new.
Live your life through experiences and not things. There is a world out there waiting to be seen, to be explored, even if not through physical travel but maybe through technology, through the eyes of others, or through some other means. Allow God to open your eyes and heart and guide you to your next destination even if it’s not your final one.
Happy Resurrection Weekend!
Love,
Lauren Alyssa
