6. OPENING RECEPTION FOR THE BIRMINGHAM PROJECT
Thursday, January 18, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Come out to the opening reception for Dawoud Bey: The Birmingham Project. In 2013, 50 years after the infamous attack on the African-American 16th Street Baptist Church, and the ensuing violence throughout Birmingham, Dawoud Bey made his first of what would be multiple visits to that city to create a commemorative project. 7. ARTIST TALK AT THE PAMM

In celebration of the third chapter of On the Horizon: Contemporary Cuban Art from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection, join artists Carlos Garaicoa and Glexis Novoa for a discussion about their work and its relation to the chapter's theme of Domestic Anxieties—a selection of works that explores everyday life and its attendant insecurities, stresses, and anxieties. 8. 2018 MIAMI BEER FEST
Saturday, January 20, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The 6th annual Miami Beer Festival brings together dozens of craft and international breweries, as well as Southern Florida's best local breweries. 9. POWER TO THE POLLS: MIAMI DAY OF ACTION
Sunday, January 21, 2018, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
On January 21, 2018, thousands of women, femmes and allies will come together in Mana Wynwood in Miami Florida, to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Women’s March and to launch the collective 2018 Women’s March agenda: #PowerToThePolls.  This anniversary event in Miami will be a community event focusing on voter registration, ending voter suppression in Florida and supporting our marginalized communities.
