1. WHAT IS BLACK? PANEL DISCUSSIONS

The South Florida People of Color (SFPoC) and Barry University in Miami Shore are sponsoring a unique panel discussion called “What is Black?” as part of SFPoC’s celebration of Black History Month in February. The panel will provide an intergenerational lens on Blackness in South Florida with a discussion featuring Haitian-Americans, Afro-Cuban Americans, African-Americans, Africans, Jamaicans and other speakers from the African diaspora. 2. GENIUS BEHIND THE LENS: A GATHERING OF MIAMI’S PHOTOGRAPHERS

3. CIVIL RIGHTS THROUGH THE LENS OF HIP HOP: JAY-Z’S “4:44”

5. BLACK LOUNGE FILM SERIES PRESENTS “ SAMMY DAVIS JR; I’VE GOTTA BE ME”

7. THE MIAMI RECORD FAIR  
Saturday, February 17, 2018, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
In collaboration with Gramps and Technique Records, Terrestrial Funk presents The Miami Record Fair. The event features tens of thousands of records to dig through from private sellers and local shops, Gramps' delicious cocktails and Live music! 8. ROOTS COLLECTIVE MARKETPLACE

The Roots Collective team has created the Black Marketplace as a three-tiered platform to promote, educate and grow a solid economic body based on love and community. 9. ART & SOUL CELEBRATION OF THE PAMM FUND FOR AFRICAN AMERICAN ART

Come join the Ambassadors and the Miami community as they celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of the PAMM Fund for African American Art with great art, cocktails, food, music and people! The Fund’s founding supporter of this annual gathering, the Knight Foundation, is matching every dollar raised this year in an effort to help  create an incredible collection of African American Art.
