4. BLACK LOUNGE FILMS PRESENTS “BLACK COP”

Join the Black Lounge Film Series for an evening of music, a movie and discussion to spotlight the Canadian Black Experience & Black Cops. The Black Lounge Film Series 4th edition of bringing global Black cinema to Overtown is back with an award-winning independent film entitled, “Black Cop” by Canadian Filmmaker, Cory Bowles. 5. THE LINK UP  
Friday, April 20, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
Come out to a special 4/20 edition of The Link Up at the Macaya Gallery in Wynwood. Musical sounds by DJ Bre and DJ Vybz. 6. 2nd ANNUAL MENDE FILM & CULTURAL ARTS FESTIVAL   
Saturday, April 21, 2018, 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Join a celebration of Gullah Geechee Heritage Cultural Arts & Crafts.
The Mende Film & Cultural Arts Festival will be showcasing two renowned Gullah Geechee Films, The Language You Cry In & Daughters of the Dust. In addition to our film screenings, the festival will showcase authentic Gullah Geechee culture with live performances, storytelling, and demonstrations of ancient arts and crafts. Learn more here.

7. HIP HOPPA LOCKA: MUSLIM HIP HOP NIGHT IN OPA LOCKA   
Saturday, April 21, 2018, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
B-boys and B-girls, DJs, emcees, and Hip Hop heads unite under the arabesque skyline of Opa-locka! Hip Hoppa Locka remixes multiple references in a celebration of Muslim artists in Hip Hop—highlighting female forerunners in particular. Performances by B-girls Amirah Sackett & May Mar; emcee Aja Black/ TheReminders, DJ sets by Asad Ali Jafri, the unveiling of a new work by muralist Cita Sadeli CHELOVE & special guests. 8. A PLACE TO SAY SUKII EXHIBITION 3: “HEALING THE FEELING”
Saturday, April 21, 2018, 6:00 p.m. –  12:00 a.m.
A PLACE TO SAY SUKII is an ongoing exhibition series by Personal Florist and Creative Director Sukii. It seeks to encourage the audience to utilize the present moment to express positivity through their personal feelings - with regard to people, places, things and experiences. This exhibition "Healing The Feeling" will  highlight collaborations between Say Sukii Flowers & a few very special local creatives in the South Florida area. Learn more here.

9. THE MIAMI FLEA: SPRING LOVE

10. ARTISTIC HEALERS EVENT ***
Sunday, April 22, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Join a special evening of an all female panel (including me, Lauren of The Gem Within) and a space filled with art installations, performances and much more. Whether an artist, entrepreneur or spectator, you will be networking with like minded souls while connecting with women dominating their careers with healing and the arts.
